I was astonished at the lack of the writer's mastery of elementary school English. "There" in consistently used instead of "their". The possessive case and plurals are interchanged. In some sentences, punctuation is non existent. There is no such word as "an" in the author's dictionary. Quotations are not properly edited. Verbal agreement is a foreign concept. At first I thought the use of the phrase " he don't" was a colloquialism, but I was wrong. Wallace DOESN'T know the word DOESN'T. I am a writer with two books for sale on Kindle books. I was devastated when one reviewer of The First Marie THE FIRST MARIE and the Queen of Scots (The Queen of Scots Trilogy)commented that my copy was "somewhat raw", and that was because of misspellings when auto-correct took over. With my second book, I used readers, and performed three line edits, and still I find a few mistakes in the 735 pages of Last Knight. Surely a man with the friends and family of TR Wallace has readers who would volunteer to help him. Any high school English teacher could have fixed most of what is wrong with this book.SO WHY THE THREE RATING? Reading it was a struggle, and I almost removed the book from my library, but my husband and I read together-- a book every evening-- and Shadow War was the last unread offering in the library, and my husband urged me to be patient, because for him the storyline was moving forward well. Thus, it is my husband's comment that earns the book the rating I have given it. I, too, found the plot gripping in places, and although incredulous in others, it moved better than most international thrillers. It helped that narrative passages appear to have been written by an entirely different author than the dialogue, with far fewer mistakes (but still plenty of them). The more action, the easier the read. The sad thing is that a discerning editor with a sharpened red pencil could have made the book worthy of the five star review given it by another reader. If it were me, I would get some help and do a rewrite, and get myself an editors before moving forward with a new offering. Anyone who expects a polished product should skip this one. A reader who is looking for a good spy story and can overlook a lot of rough edges, go ahead and try it.

Shadow War T R Wallace Books Reviews
If you like Tom Clancy, you'll love this book. Espionage is the name of the game here! The inner workings of Washington in it's finest is exposed in this fictional account of James Kelley, CIA operative. Great book, fast read!
I have never read a book on my with such poor grammar, spelling and punctuation. It almost seems as though it would have to be on purpose. No one is this bad! Completely detracts from what could be an excellent story line. I had to stop reading; was just too frustrating. I have never written a review of any of the hundreds of books I have read but this was unbelieveable.
If you are a kindle owner, PLEASE, request a SAMPLE of this book prior to purchasing. The spelling and punctuation is atrocious. An example is the word "Through", "Threw" and "Thru". All 3 were used in the sample and all used in the wrong context. Periods, commas and question marks, where and when used, were an after thought, improperly inserted and/or used incorrectly. Almost every sentence had a word or words missing. I read about half the book sample and got disgusted enough to delete the remainder. An 8 year old child could have done better with the sentence structure.
The French translation of this book is an extremely poor "google" translation. Would not recommend at all as not definitely not readable. A shame I did not review first the other comments.
I am astonished that a published book exists that was not proofread at all. If you can stand reading a book that uses 's every time a word ends with s, this is a book for you! Honestly, I couldn't get past the first few pages. I'm glad I only paid $4 for this book!
